Challenge
TEP was hired to manage several new site builds and mods for Sprint in the southeast (Carolina’s and Georgia) region. The scope of work included picking up all materials from Sprint’s warehouse, installing new (ground) equipment, mounts, lines, and new antennas and radios for 800 and 1900 technology CDMA, CDMA + LTE and PCS upgrades, replacing existing antennas with new antennas and radios for 800 and 1900 technology CDMA, CDMA + LTE and PCS upgrades, supplying and installing new coax/fiber jumpers and related connectors, testing all equipment to ensure proper configuration, overseeing final third party equipment testing, civil testing, and compiling closeout documentation for client submittal. All work had to be coordinated with Sprint project managers, construction managers, Sprint techs, tower owners, and landlords/leasing agencies.
Result
TEP completed all necessary new site builds and antenna upgrade work at the Sprint sites with passing third party inspections and testing all while avoiding any disruption to the tenants or management. The quality of work performed at these sites led to other project awards for engineering work, antenna upgrades, and mods from this client.
