Tower Engineering Professionals Plays Prominent Role at NATE UNITE

Tower Engineering Professionals (TEP) had a busy week at NATE UNITE 2020. On Monday, it hosted a Wireless Rooftop Deployment Training course at its North American Headquarters in Raleigh, NC. The course was part of the NATE UNITE schedule and was funded by the Susan Harwood Grant.

On Tuesday morning, TEP CEO Andy Haldane participated in an informative panel discussion about ‘Preparing Your Company for Sale.’ In the Exhibit Hall, TEP and its training partner ENSA, demonstrated skilled climbing and rescue practices and won best booth for the conference.

On Wednesday, FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr stopped by TEP headquarters to climb a training tower. He was assisted by Andy Haldane, Vice Presidents Brad Little and Michael Gardner as well Blackhawk Tower Communications Inc. Tower Technician Jessica Reich. Also during the Luncheon, TEP announced its partnership with Wake Technical College. Together they’re launching a tower technician training program, commencing in September 2020, which will support the development of the workforce required for 5G rollout. This industry partnership is the third of its kind across the country.

“TEP is proud to partner with NATE, TIRAP, NWSA, and Wake Technical College to help train the additional workforce required for the network expansion in rural America and the 5G Rollout,” said CEO Andy Haldane.

To wrap up the week, TEP hosted a two-part Tower Medical Responder educational course on Thursday and Friday.
